The new iMacs were installed for student use today in all 3 of the MIDI labs at SAE Miami. The upgrade enhances the facilities in the room with bigger screens, faster processors, and larger hard drives. Students will use these computers for their sequencing projects on software such as Steinberg Cubase, Apple Logic Studio, Ableton Live 7, and Propellerheads Reason 4. The increase in processing speed will allow for faster processing speed and more fluid use of Native Instruments' Komplete 4 series. "Initial reactions of students are very positive, the systems are running well and have shown no glitches in testing." head supervisor Paul D'Errico says. "The new iMacs will be an important asset to the Audio Technology and Electronic Music Production students."
